I placed my order (and was charged for…:I placed my order (and was charged for it) on July 25th. As of August 18th, I still have not received it. When I enter my order number in the box they provide to track my parcel, nothing happens. I still have no response as to when I may expect to receive my merchandise. Had I known it would take the better part of a month to fulfill an order for one sheet of decals and two tins of paint, I would have gone elasewhere.

Horrible Order Processing - Do Not Buy From 1001 Hobbies:I have twice within a month received the wrong items in my shipment. Does anyone confirm what ordered item is being sent before shipping? Absolutely the worst online buying experience I have ever had.
Absolutely terrible service took over…:Absolutely terrible service took over 14 days to arrive for items that fitted in a large envelope type package , no updates , it took them 5 days before it was sent from the day of my payment for the order, the worst online shop I have ever used , no way to realistically contact and when I did email no reply after 3 emails , obviously they don’t care about their customers at all ! will not buy from again ever

Frankly inadequate:Frankly inadequate. 9 days to ship a small photo-etched part which was in stock, then 15 days to arrive from Northern France to the UK. So 24 days in total. The management needs to review its procedures. There are plenty of model suppliers out there.

1001 is ridiculous:6 days ago l wrote a review under the title of ""1001 sucks."" On 7/23, l received an email advising me that my items had shipped and l would receive them in a few days. Well its now 7/27, and l have received nothing. I checked their sometimes working tracking site and it's difficult to understand because its all in French. I guess they don't understand that not everybody speaks French. As of today the tracking icon that shows you where the item is indicates that it is nowhere near being delivered. I don't even think it's reached the U.S. It seems they sent it via a raft. I don't expect it for at least another week. I noticed that while looking at other reviews the company only responds to positive reviews and publicly thanks those reviewers. However, they don't respond to negative reviews. I guess it's against their policies to publicly acknowledge and apologize for their mistakes. After my experience with this company l will never order from them again. I recommend you don't either. If you do it's at your own risk. You've been warned.

Unbelievably awful service:I was planning on buying various things from there site, but after seeing these reviews I tested it with one item first. I payed for the fastest shipping option and they still took over 2 months. After I finally recieved the package I figured I could order the other things I wanted since the first one checked out (even with ridiculous time). But than a month after my second order I receive an email stating the items were listed at the wrong price , and they removed every single item I purchased from their website. Took them a month to let me know they messed up, AND THE REFUND STILL HASNT GONE THROUGH!!!Forgot to add this part too at first... but also when I asked them a question via email it took 4 days for a response and the answer was just PART OF MY OWN QUESTION COPY PASTED AND SENT BACK TO ME.I HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND THIS SITE!!!!!
Disappointing:Ordered a kit 9 weeks ago and was told that it had been dispatched a week later. After several email exchanges I requested an update or a refund to which the response was that they were still following up with Hermes. No further communication was forthcoming so I instructed my bank to reclaim a refund via the Chargeback arrangement which they did straight away. For more than 20 years I have ordered models from all over the world with few problems. Perhaps I was just unlucky but this was the first and last time I will use this supplier.

Dubieus zakelijk gedrag:Ik heb 3 Futaba BLS 253 servo's besteld voor €106 per stuk en na ongeveer 2 weken ontvangen.Helaas was één servo vanaf het begin defect, dus heb ik een garantieclaim ingediend. Na wat stevige e-mailcorrespondentie kreeg ik een retouradres waarnaar ik de servo met een kopie van de factuur moest opsturen.Volgens DHL shipment tracking is de zending daar op 23 juni 2020 afgeleverd. Op 20.07. vroeg ik wanneer ik een terugbetaling of nieuwe levering kan verwachten.Op 21.07. antwoord van 1001 Hobbies dat mijn zending daar niet is aangekomen. En ik geloof gewoon niet dat 1001 Hobbies de zending niet ontvangen wil hebben, dit toont het niet bestaande service concept van 1001 Hobbies aan. Voor mij is dit dubieus! Moet je dat echt doen? Waarschijnlijk moet je in Frankrijk persoonlijk een retourzending tegen ontvangstbewijs inleveren om je geld terug te krijgen. Ik vermoed dat de klant hier bewust wordt opgelicht met garantieclaims en ik annuleer de zaak, zal zeker nooit meer bij ze kopen en raad iedereen aan dat niet te doen. Een goed bedrijf laat zich zien als het gaat om problemen of service en van 1001 Hobbies kun je niets verwachten. Eén ster is nog steeds te veel.
Only use Paypal or Credit Card!!!! Wish I had seen reviews before puchase:Ordered two items (value approx. 2x £100, Total £200) during Covid -19 (I totally appreciated the order was likely to be delayed). I payed extra for quicker shipping (with everything going on I honestly expected it to be delivered within 7-14 days). All items on the website said “instock” at time of order or I wouldn’t have ordered them. A month later I had no sign of the order and it still said processing on their website.I emailed 1001 on 3 occasions to get an ETA for the order, I was eventually told the second item was “out of stock” (I beleive it was still being displayed as ""in stock"" on their website at that time...), I gave them the opportunity to provide two of the first item instead. That suggestion was ignored and I after I kept pushing they started a new thread to tell me again that the “2nd item was out of stock”. Communication was next to useless, single response to each email thread followed by ghosting after that every time. I gave up and raised a PayPal claim. I warned them after making the claim and suggested the alternative again which they also ignored.I would not recommend and I can’t stress enough to make sure you can claim if they don’t deliver (only buy with PayPal or Creditcard). I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt but it does smell dodgy.
Ik wacht al 6 weken op mijn bestelling:Deze website verdient niet echt een ster. Ik bestelde mijn artikel en had problemen met mijn afleveradres. Maar toen deze eindelijk opgelost waren (zogenaamd) werden de goederen gewoon niet geleverd, hoewel ze (weer zogenaamd) nog op voorraad zijn. Nu zes weken na bestelling is de verzending nog steeds niet in zicht. Ik kan alleen maar afraden om bij deze leverancier te kopen, en let niet op de goede recensies. De meeste zijn overduidelijk bots als je kijkt naar de naam en de structuur van de beoordeling.

Absurdly poor choice of packaging:Shipping overseas (from France to the UK) you'd think they would have used more sturdy packaging to protect the goods you've paid for. But no, all I got was a very thin jiffy bag to protect my item, resulting in the cardboard backing being damaged. Very surprising considering the collectable nature of the items they sell. Will not be shopping here again.

Item not in stock despite saying it was, slower than expected delivery, no communication.:Initial projection of a delivery date almost 3 weeks away from the order was disappointing. When the delivery date came, with no package appearing, I called up to check what had happened only to hear that the item I ordered wasn’t even in stock (it looked it was when I made the order), and they hadn’t told me. Apparently it’s in stock next week so will now be delivered the week after that for an overall FIVE week wait. Not happy. This should have at least been communicated. Should have ordered elsewhere.

As they had failed to deliver on time I requested refund on the extra I had paid for the three to five day delivery. They refused stating that they could not refund postage as the model had already been delivered.This company advertises as being UK based but are based in France which is misrepresentation. Poor customer service. Company then offered me 5% discount on my next purchase after reading this review which they can shove where the sun does not shine.

In de mail stond een link naar '1001hobbies.nl' terwijl die hele website niet bestaat.Ook nadat ik een poos geleden bij deze winkel iets had besteld kreeg ik een week erna allemaal reclamemails in 3 verschillende talen van ze.Op hun website laten ze alleen de 4- en 5-sterrenreviews zien.Get your shit together, 1001hobbies/1001hobbys/1001modelkits/1001modelbouw!Het is overduidelijk een zooi bij jullie.
Worst Supplier I have ever dealt with:Possibly the worst supplier I have ever had to deal with & if there was a Zero rating I would give it. Placed an order and after 6 weeks nothing received and very limited communication from 1001. Decided to cancel order and requested a refund that has taken a further 6 weeks for return to me. At no time did 1001 answer what I call a straight question with a straight answer. The so called London phone number is either off or answer machine but then what would you expect when the company is based in FRANCE. So if you intend purchasing from this company be & you experience problems be prepared for a difficult time.
Poor Customer Service:Thought this was a UK company as it said 1001modelkits.co.uk and it had a UK phone number. Found out after placing order that they are in France. The site does not have live stock details so when you find out the kits you have ordered are unavailable that is when the problem starts. Trying to get your money refunded is very difficult with delay tactics in reply emails. Had to use Paypal dispute process to get my money refunded.Would never use them again, extremely poor customer service. I Do not recommend this seller.

Priority shipping not honoured:I ordered a model costing over 120 euros and elected to pay for quicker shipping which guaranteed delivery in 3 days. 10 days later the model arrived and my request to have the shipping costs refunded was refused as they claimed they could not refund postage as the models had already been shipped! If I had known this was a French company I would never have ordered from them.
Avoid,avoid, avoid !!!:This company is beyond shady and I strongly recommend avoiding them! I placed an order with them yesterday and shortly after began seeing the bad reviews so decided to cancel. Well, they do not have anything in place to request a cancellation, you cannot reach them by phone and they ignore the emails requesting a cancellation. These are terrible business practices and I will be sure and warn all of the modeling groups I am in to stay away!

Bad quality goods & no customer service.:I ordered 2 Simpsons talking bottle openers. The packaging on one was already open on receipt & didn’t work. The other is properly packaged but you can test the talking as there’s an instruction on the packet to do that. It doesn’t work either. The same day I received them I emailed 1001 model kits & explained. I sent photos. I said I wanted to return them & get either 2 that worked or a refund. I got an email back saying they didn’t accept back things that had been opened & suggested that they might need new batteries!! These things were new! But I had not opened them - they are still as they were as I’m still waiting to hear from them about what they’re going to do! Disgusted with the quality of goods and the lack of customer service. They are not fit for purpose. I’m about £30 down and left with 2 useless products. Disappointed as these were for presents too. 1 was to replace the same thing in one case. Very angry about it.
Avoid. Unreliable and 0 customer service:I have been waiting for 13 days my order. The phone line as been cut off so no way to talk to someone. Once I have contacted them via support on the webpage they finally told me there was an issue with the stock levels, which is understandable but should have been made aware at time or purchase or been contacted directly when prior the expected delivery date. Once they reply via email any response you send back there is no action. I had to contact the 6 times via the support every time going no where. 10 days after the expected delivery date, and after for the 3rd time requesting to cancel the order and refund the money, I receive a new order confirmation email, UNBELIEVABLE.As soon I receive the parcel It will sent back and hoping the 30days money back guarantee is not an other scam.This is not how you treat your customers.
