Good service:My order arrived two weeks after I placed the order. The web site was easy to use and their selection can't be beat
Not overwhelmed by the experience!:I ordered a 1/72 Italeri fast build M7 Priest/Kangaroo kit. I only considered the order because of not being able to find this kit elsewhere. I feel that the price even though it was 'on sale', was still a very premium price compared to similar kits. I accept the fact that a higher price may reflect its rairity. I expected to receive the kit in about a week to 2 weeks, it ended up being close to 4 weeks. Customer service was available, if not at time a bit spotty. I must say they did try to keep me in the loop. I did get a shipping tracking number which was very nice. Once I received the kit, the box was a bit banged up, had a few pieces loose in the box off the sprue, and had no assembly instructions nor the decals that the box front said should be included. At present, I don't know if I would order from 1001 ModelKits again.
Good but not great:a litty slow to deliver
A model supplier:I was on pins and needles anticipating my order delivery of one of the rarest and virtually impossible kits to obtain in the US. 1001 fulfilled my every expectation by delivering just the very item I was obsessing on getting. Especially at the fair and reasonable price offered compared to other sources world-wide. It is the very first time using 1001. but I give them a FIVE STAR rating.
Good Shopping:The inventory of 1001 Modelkits is perhaps the best around. When I need to find something, they have it. The only part I do not care for is having them ship it to arkansas and then on to me. Direct shipping would seem to be a better alternative.
Giant Aeromaster:Just got the Giant Aeromaster ARF kit from 1001 Modelkits. The kit was in great shape and was delivered within the time frame they specified even though It was shipped from France. I would buy from this company again.

My new ""go-to"" online vendor.:I have placed a couple of orders on rare models that are difficult to find here in the USA and 1001 Modelkits never disappoints. They provide email confirmation of my orders, when they process, and when my order ships. They also are fast to respond to any inquiry, so their customer service is top notch. If you're looking for that hard-to-find model or kit, they will likely have it at a competitive price. I'm so glad they are out there and I will be returning again as a satisfied customer. Cheers.

Order lead time:I feel more paint items should be kept in your inventory in the USA. The delivery time of two weeks because they have to come from your European warehouse does not lend to good customer service.
Do not purchase from under any circumstances.:I ordered the Tamiya 1:35-35065 German Panther Tank on 1/10/15. My card was charged and an email sent to me on 1/11/15 that I should allow 12 - 15 business days altogether. It is now 1/31/15 which means that 15 business days has expired. My purchase is still ""order being processed"". The email sent also said that they did not have any of the item in stock, despite the website saying that there was several (as it does now). Furthermore, the PRICE HAS DROPPED SIGNIFICANTLY while my order has been sitting in processing. The amount charged to me was 36.99USD and the current cost of the kit is now 24.99 and is on sale for 23.74. I have messaged the company about having my order cancelled, or the item shipped and the difference in cost refunded to me but have not received a reply. At this time I believe that I will not receive a refund nor my purchased goods and that 44.99 (model, tax and shipping costs) has been stolen from me. Do not purchase from.
Two orders both cancelled and had to email them to find out!!:I placed two orders both were cancelled, I was not notified of the cancellation or the reason for either.When i contacted 1001 modelkits I was told one was cancelled due to a pricing mistake clearly going against there own terms of use the other I was told was due to being out of stock of the item but as soon as my order was cancelled the items were listed in stock and a co-worker purchased the items at which point the item was listed as out of stock.I had a feeling they had a pricing error and had intention of ordering other items if things went smoothly with these orders. If they had at least contacted me to notify me of the issue or told me that the orders were being cancelled i wouldn't be as upset but the fact i had to email to try to figure out why my orders had been processing for weeks is rather absurd. Now i will never order from them again and will not recommend them to anyone.

Horrible experience:This was a HORRIBLE experience. I ordered a book December 31, 2014. My order was processed immediately. I got the book today January 24, 2015. Almost a month later. Supposedly the book was coming from a depot in Europe and had some additional information required by Customs. That is BOGUS. If you don't have the book in stock for immediate delivery, say so. From now on, will use (external reference) in England. Never had problems with them. Will NEVER EVER use this vendor again. Asked for updates on status on the 16th and did not hear back for a week. This was a Horrible experience. Finished the model that I was buying the book as a reference for the day before the book arrived as I had pretty much given up on getting the book. Will never use this company again.
Good models, lackluster service, long wait times.:This was a less than pleasurable experience due to the lengthy delivery time – 27 days. My order was processed immediately and charged almost immediately on my credit card, this after the shipping rates were raised for some reason to a different price, which was higher than the quoted price when I pressed the button to complete my order. I was upset at that incident for days after the order.A week later, after filing an inquiry twice online, received a message that I would receive a voucher for the difference in price…I’ll never use it, but why not just make the adjustment on this order Poor customer service in my opinion.I received no info or updates until the item was shipped in this country, three weeks later, from the post office tracking. Parcel arrived with some damage to the side of the box, with damage to one of the model boxes inside…but thankfully the model was not harmed. I find it amazing that there was no packaging or filler inside to protect the items inside the box, as with other model companies with every shipment. I order something from the next state over and the box has newspaper, Styrofoam peanuts, plastic bubble rap…something! But something comes from France and no filler whatsoever…hmmm. I’m not impressed with the service, but the price was better than some places here, however, I will never use your services again.
Model paints:Of the 6 paints that I ordered one was wrong. Delivery took long time but it may have been fault of USPS. Send email with complaint (there is no phone number available). Took 3 days to respond but got credit without any questions. Had to pay some extra for shipping but only pennies. Delivery of replacement was fast and color was the correct one.
Do not waste your time or money:Fast to take your money, but slow to get you your order, I think they ship by sail boat, I placed my order on 1/10 and it is now 2/11 and I have still not gotten my order. This is the most I ever paid for shipping, and the longest I have ever waited. It seems that this problem is a common concern with US customers, Their response to e-mails seem to be the same for every customer, it was interesting that an early reply was ""crossing the Atlantic"" followed two weeks later by ""sent back by French customs"" I would not suggest this company to anyone.

Slowest shipping ever/ No shipping:I placed my order on 12/19/14. It is now 1/10/15 and nothing. I sent a email checking on the status and I got the it's crossing the Atlantic response. Must be on a rowboat. They have a excellent selection but getting them seems to be an issue. I ordered items from another company in Poland on 12/26/14 and those items arrived on 1/5/15. I do not like leaving negative reviews.Update: It is now 1/15/15 order still being 'processed'. Thanks for offering free shipping on my next order. But seeing that I am out $183.97 so far on this one I do not think there will be a next order. Sorry.1/22/15 order still being 'processed'. 34 days now and counting.1/26/15 Paypal refunded my payment. These guys did not even respond to Paypal's investigation.Ordered same items elsewhere on 1/26/15 and they arrived today 1/30/15. Amazing 38 days with 1001 Modelkits and they where still processing. Not a very good way to run a business...just saying. But what does one person matter to these guys.

Not impressed! Wrong size, wrong materials and unwrapped and they took almost 2 weeks to arrive.:Category : Diecast models Fiat 500 Blue 500C Pink x 2 1:43I ordered the advertised diecast models which were supposed to be a Fiat 500 in Blue and a 500C in Pink in 1:43 scale.What I received was 2 number Fiat 500's in Blue and 2 number 500C's in Pink in 1:87 scale in plastic. I also paid an extra £1.70 for gift wrapping, which was a paper bag!The quality of the products are excellent but they are not what I wanted or ordered! Wrong size, wrong materials and unwrapped, also they took almost 2 weeks to arrive.Additionally, when I checked my order on the website after they arrived, it had changed to what they delivered but the scale is still listed as 1:43. In summary they state that this product is no longer available - Which product is no longer available, the 1:43 Scale Die Cast Models or 1:87 Plastic Models?Luckily, my daughter, for which they were a Christmas present is happy with them.
Absolutely awful:It is now 1st Jan 15 and still waiting for delivery of my sons Christmas present which was ordered on 14th December. No one to speak to. Most of the telephone numbers don't even seem to exist!!!!!!!!!!!!! If there is a person at 1001 Modelkits maybe they could contact me re order no 49881 (UK) and then I could post a slightly different review.

Disappointed:I was very sorry that the models did not arrive on time for grandkids to open at Christmas. They still have not arrived.
So far so good.....ll:Couriered to UK from France by DHL during Christmas week, arrived before most of our UK parcels which were ordered much earlier! This would be 5 stars, except for the fact that this expensive, sophisticated wooden sailing ship model kit was open and had been repackaged somewhere along the line. There is no way to tell if anything is missing due to the complexity of the model (Amati HMS Surprise from the Aubrey/Maturin novels).

Unsatisfactory response to damaged goods report.:I ordered a Great Planes Giant Big Stik model aircraft which arrived with some damage to the rear of the fuselage. I reported the damage with photographs of both model and packaging and asked 1001model kits for their comments.Having paid over £300 for the model which was to be a special Christmas present (which I had noted on my order) I imagined they would at least have offered to reduce the price as I had received damaged goods.Their reply follows:Dear Sir,I am deeply sorry for the damage.Unfortunately we are located in France and have no solution for repairs in the UK. I suggest that you repair it yourself, this should not be too complicated.Best regards,--Customer serviceUK buyers beware.
Great Experience:I ordered a model the week before Christmas, not sure it would arrive on time. It came sooner than expected and in good shape.
Poor service:I ordered some photo-etch details on December 3, and it has not arrived yet as of Dec.23. Not only were the shipping charges higher than they should have been for such an item (and higher than their website advertised) but to take at least three weeks to arrive is unacceptable. I could have purchased from a company in Australia that I've bought from before and had it here in a week. Really disappointed.12/30 - still have not arrived. Cancelling order.
Terrible experience with no response:It's now 1/16 -It has now been a month since I placed my order and I have nothing to show for it except a $106 charge to my credit card. Based upon the last response I received from your company, I expected at least a partial shipment. Again, I have not received anything. I have not received my order, tracking number or any follow-up response. This has been the worst on-line experince.I placed my order on 12/12 for Christmas. The website indicated it was ""in stock"" and would be here in time. Credit card was charged $106 immediately. That is the only thing they have gotten correct. Now MORE THAN A MONTH LATER and I do not have my order and have not heard from a representative of 1001modelkits...but they still have my money. Respectfully I have asked for them to cancel my order and post a credit but still no response.Placed an order on 12/12 for Christmas. It is now 1/5 and I still have not received my order. In addition I asked for an update and did not receive a response. Customer service is non-existent.Placed an order on 12/12. According to the website the order is still being processed but my credit card was charged immediately. I have now emailed on two occasions with no response. Prior to oreddering, the website said it would be available for Christmas...not likley.
Pleasant, reliable experience.:I was very pleased with the delivery time and was also pleased to receive exactly what was ordered. A very professional company with good communication from order to delivery.

Models Arrived in Great Condition:This place is legit.
