So far so good.....ll:Couriered to UK from France by DHL during Christmas week, arrived before most of our UK parcels which were ordered much earlier! This would be 5 stars, except for the fact that this expensive, sophisticated wooden sailing ship model kit was open and had been repackaged somewhere along the line. There is no way to tell if anything is missing due to the complexity of the model (Amati HMS Surprise from the Aubrey/Maturin novels).

WORST COMPANY EVER:Very quick to take your money nothing in stock, slow postage, customer service nil, dont waste your time go to a real supplier

Unsatisfactory response to damaged goods report.:I ordered a Great Planes Giant Big Stik model aircraft which arrived with some damage to the rear of the fuselage. I reported the damage with photographs of both model and packaging and asked 1001model kits for their comments.Having paid over £300 for the model which was to be a special Christmas present (which I had noted on my order) I imagined they would at least have offered to reduce the price as I had received damaged goods.Their reply follows:Dear Sir,I am deeply sorry for the damage.Unfortunately we are located in France and have no solution for repairs in the UK. I suggest that you repair it yourself, this should not be too complicated.Best regards,--Customer serviceUK buyers beware.

Terrible experience with no response:It's now 1/16 -It has now been a month since I placed my order and I have nothing to show for it except a $106 charge to my credit card. Based upon the last response I received from your company, I expected at least a partial shipment. Again, I have not received anything. I have not received my order, tracking number or any follow-up response. This has been the worst on-line experince.I placed my order on 12/12 for Christmas. The website indicated it was ""in stock"" and would be here in time. Credit card was charged $106 immediately. That is the only thing they have gotten correct. Now MORE THAN A MONTH LATER and I do not have my order and have not heard from a representative of 1001modelkits...but they still have my money. Respectfully I have asked for them to cancel my order and post a credit but still no response.Placed an order on 12/12 for Christmas. It is now 1/5 and I still have not received my order. In addition I asked for an update and did not receive a response. Customer service is non-existent.Placed an order on 12/12. According to the website the order is still being processed but my credit card was charged immediately. I have now emailed on two occasions with no response. Prior to oreddering, the website said it would be available for Christmas...not likley.

Delivery takes a very long time!:I ordered this on 4th Dec for a Christmas present, and there is still no sign of it yet -.today is 19th Dec

Extremely slow shipping:I have ordered quite a bit from 1001 in the past, but lately am very disappointed with them. They claim free shipping on orders over $200, but they charge anyway. That's dishonest. When called on it, they issue a voucher. Not exactly the kind of thing which evokes confidence. It usually takes about a month before they finally ship, even though everything is in stock at time of ordering. This current order was paid for on the 19th of last month, and still shows a 'being processed' status. They don't respond to my emails, and I even called them at (617) 849-9224, only to get a recording stating that they will respond to all emails promptly... another lie. Basically, sad to say this, but I don't have much confidence in them anymore. Terrible customer service, terrible wait times for shipping, and their prices aren't even that competitive.

Een bedrijf zonder normen: ik wacht nu al 2 maanden op mijn levering, die me 1,5 maand geleden had moeten toekomen? Het ergste is dat niemand bij het bedrijf het de moeite waard vindt om ook maar iets te zeggen als reactie op mijn verzoeken. Ik heb geen andere keuze dan via een advocaat een verklaring en mijn geld te krijgen. Gefeliciteerd aan iedereen die een probleemloze levering had. Jullie hebben geluk!

it is ok:I am really missing some models from you,especially Bristol Britania in CSAcolors and Convair 990.No message about it etc.In some models is pure description about them perhaps TU-124.It is really buying like blind.I must remodell this kit.Anyway,thank you for this as well.

Complete source with long ship times.:I live in an area that has no hobby outlets. The nearest is over 75 miles. I use on-line systems a lot. My problem is that the shipping cost from these outlets makes small items cost prohibitive. I purchased Humbrol paints from this site and found that items in my order had to be shipped from England to an Arkansas Distribution point to me.

Handen af van de winkel:Hallo, ik wacht al meer dan 4 maanden op mijn geld van een vliegtuig dat beschadigd bij mij werd afgeleverd. Natuurlijk heb ik het binnen 2 dagen teruggestuurd. Eerst zeiden ze dat het pakket zoek was, toen na twee maanden, ja, we zullen het geld terugstorten. Ik heb een advocaat moeten inschakelen omdat ik steeds werd afgescheept. Vergeet niet dat de Franse wet niet hetzelfde is als de Duitse. MfG Blijf met uw handen van deze winkel af.

Goederen niet geleverd, geld niet teruggestort! Handen uit de mouwen!!!!:Ik heb op 6 december 2013!!!! een boek besteld, dat volgens de online shop via vooruitbetaling te verkrijgen was. Na ontvangst van de betaling op 12 december 2013 werd mij levering binnen 6 tot 9 dagen beloofd! Het feit is dat ik tot op de dag van vandaag (28 oktober 2014!!!! na meer dan 10 maanden) mijn bestelling niet heb ontvangen, noch is mijn geld teruggestort (ondanks toezeggingen van een terugstorting, en het herhaaldelijk versturen van alle gegevens!!!!). Vandaag heb ik een laatste e-mail met alle gegevens naar de klantenservice gestuurd. Als ik mijn geld niet binnen de gestelde tijd terugkrijg, zal ik hetzelfde doen als andere ""reviewers"" en een klacht indienen en, indien nodig, verdere stappen ondernemen. Als het mogelijk was geweest, had ik helemaal geen ster toegekend!!!! Handen af!!!!

Zeven weken wachten:Helaas is deze review erg slecht. Ik bestelde een AGM 109 kit in de laatste week van juli 2014 en betaalde vooruit, toen begon het wachten. Ik kon de voortgang van het pakket volgen in het verzendvolgsysteem, maar het laatste station waar het pakket was opgeslagen, leverde gewoon niet. Het lukte me om telefonisch contact op te nemen met DHL. Toen ik vroeg wanneer ik het pakket eindelijk zou ontvangen, kreeg ik te horen dat het de volgende dag zou aankomen. Na zeven weken had ik het nu in mijn hand. Deze extreem lange levertijd werd veroorzaakt door het feit dat mijn achternaam verkeerd gespeld was, hoewel dit niet mijn eerste bestelling was. Hoewel ik dit probleem meerdere malen aan 1001modellbau had gemeld, verwezen ze me alleen maar door naar DHL, die de zending vervoerde. Zelfs het annuleren van mijn bestelling werd door 1001modellbau genegeerd. Ik weet niet meer zeker of ik nog iets bij 1001modellbau zal bestellen. Andreas

Let op! Winkel brengt kosten in rekening voor niet-bestaande goederen! Handen af: ik heb 2 maanden geleden twee kits besteld die volgens de winkel beschikbaar waren en het label "groen" hadden. Ik had betaald met Paypal en kreeg toen een e-mail dat de kits toch niet beschikbaar waren en besteld moesten worden. Ik werd wekenlang met e-mails afgescheept en heb nu de bestelling geannuleerd en wil graag mijn geld terug. Er zou een creditnota moeten komen maar ik heb het bedrag nog steeds niet teruggekregen. De winkel heeft geen contact met mij opgenomen. Ik ga nu naar de politie en doe aangifte van oplichting.

leaking bottle:I ordered 10 bottles of paint and 2 bottles of thinner. One of the thinner bottles opened in shipping and leaked over everything. Please make sure your bottles are tight before packing.

Eindresultaat goed: Bij het bestellen was het niet duidelijk dat de levering vertraagd kon worden door de opname van een niet eerder genoemde leverancier. Als je vooruit betaalt, wil je preciezer geïnformeerd worden, vooral omdat fraude via internet toeneemt (ik heb al betaald zonder de goederen te ontvangen, zelfs op e-bay). Dus ik zal in de toekomst beter kijken.

Pretty good.:There was a small issue in figuring out if the item on their site was the one I was looking for. The picture shows the item out of the box and no box shown in the photo. I emailed them and they said they would attempt to find out more about the item from their supplier. After 2 weeks I heard nothing back. I decided to go ahead and order it since it was only 10 bucks(very good price) and it turned out that it was what I was looking for. The tracking didnt update during shipping but thats not really the company's fault.

Untrustworthy seller:Seller's website said model was available and would ship in 10 days. 21 days later, no update, no tracking number, no status. Emails were responded to with generic ""we will let you know when we receive a status"". After 45 days I got a refund. They processed my refund timely, so I suppose that's a positive? Now I missed my uncle's birthday, and will have to order from scratch from somewhere else. Don't order from here if you have a deadline to mee!

Levertijd:Veel te lange levertijd zelfs als vaste klant levering alleen tegen vooruitbetaling .

Wat kan ik zeggen? Zelfs na 10 dagen is het model dat ik had besteld en betaald nog steeds niet aangekomen. De levertijd was opgegeven als 6 tot max. 9 dagen.

WORST INTERNET PURCHASE EVER:This company is apparently strictly a 'middleman' that does not warehouse its products except in very few rare cases if you read any other reviews or take my impression. At no time did they have a clue as to my order status, location of said order, or real time stock quantities. Customer service is automated, with canned responses, and few and random. I should have been clued by their policy of charging for the item when ordered, not when shipped, so you have no option to cancel or refund an order after no contact or response after an extended wait period. If you use them expect double the wait for shipping and handling (items ship to them and then to you) and notice fluctuating site pricing. It took my order three weeks to arrive, and they said it was crossing the Atlantic the day before it was dropped on my porch on the US west coast. Most of their stock is sold to the public directly through the manufacturers. Good luck.

Great Stuff but SLOW Shipping:Ordered decal sheets which I could not find anywhere else and which were indicated as in-stock. Confirmation e-mail stated 6-8 days delivery time. 14 days after placing order I received an e-mail ""updating"" me and stating items were shipped from Europe and would need to stop at US facility before finally being sent to me. Items arrived well protected in rigid cardboard flat mailer and in great condition after about 4 weeks. Keep in mind that at the same time I placed this order I placed some other orders with vendors in Australia and Singapore. I received those orders in about 1 week via direct international mail as flat packages (just like these decals). Denver (where I live) to Paris distance is 4900 miles. Denver to Sydney is 8300 miles and Denver to Singapore is 9000 miles - get the picture? I don't know why it should take so long to get a flat mailer from 1001, but they really need to work on improving their shipping times. That being said, if I needed something that they had I would be confident ordering from them in the future, but would be aware of the long wait time.

Ik ben zeer tevreden over de afhandeling van mijn bestelling, op een klein gebrek na: ik had alleen geluk toen het pakket werd afgeleverd. Mijn volledige adres stond niet op het pakket. De postbode heeft me gevonden in zijn database en heeft me toen persoonlijk bereikt, anders was het pakket teruggestuurd. Dus alleen met veel geluk.

Veeeeery slowwwww......:Very impressive site with lots of goodies for the modeling enthusiast but…I registered and placed my first order for 4 decal sheets on April 1st.The prices all over the site were within the market range. But the postage charged (8.90€) was excessive even for registered mail for a 20 gr. envelope.All the items were marked as available and 3 of them had 5-6 day shipping time indicated. I paid thru Paypal on the same day.The next day I received an e-mail message that the order has been processed and that I will receive my order in 6-8 days.After ten (10) days (on April 11th) I received another e-mail saying that my order has been shipped!!!Because the shipment had not arrived on April 29th, I sent an e-mail asking for details and where do they ship from. I got an answer the next day saying that they ship from France and that surface mail (!!!) might take longer to arrive.On May 12th I wrote again to their customer service complaining about the long delay in their delivery and asking for an answer. I also opened a dispute in Paypal’s resolution centre. I got a message the next day saying that the envelope must be lost and that one of the decal sheets was no longer available.I was given the option to buy something else from the site and so I did. The new order was processed the next day (May 14th), I received an e-mail on May 19th that it will be shipped soon (!!!) and finally an e-mail on May 21st that it was shipped (more than a week after the new order was placed).The envelope arrived on May 27th which is within the normal range for an intra EU 1st class mail. Mind you the postage affixed was 1,35 € !!!!I have to point out that I trade over the net constantly and never had a problem with lost mail in over 600 transactions during the last 8 years or so.There is something definitely wrong with their very slow shipping and equally slow customer response service. Possibly the items sent from the EU are not in stock there and have to be shipped from elsewhere thus the one week between ordering and shipping. I cannot detect any malicious intent but I am skeptic about any future purchases from them……

GLUE ALL OVER MOTHER""S TABLE, Won't be able to set down for week!:I won't buy anymore that you must use glue on. Mom threw them away after I glued apiece of a plane to the table. I have to pay to get the table refinished.

Rubbish. Utter, unutterable rubbish.:Their internet stock levels are a fiction. Their emails re unavailability do not agree with the items they actually send nor with later emails they send. When they do send something, they send the wrong items. Perhaps next time they should make sure the guide dog is awake when picking stock how an American landing craft can look like a Tiger II I don't know clever German camouflage I suspect. Avoid this firm like the plague. My advice is to buy from (external reference) in the UK. I will from now on.

waste of time and money:Hey,I would like to share with you my worst buying experience I've had so far , here are the details of the case :I saw many publications in magazines of models building from about 1001modelkits.com , after I checked and compared prices and seeing positive reviews online I decided to try and do a purchase from them. the site seem very impressive and serious , with huge stock and tempting prices - including low postage. I made the purchase at 7.3.14 and according to the site terms it has been said that the shipment will be sent in no more than 48 hours. After several days that i did not received from them any email to document the purchase (which I usually get right away from my experience from buying in many websites) I contacted their customer service department and after a few days I received the following laconic message :"" Dear customer ,Rest assured that we do our best to deliver our customers quickly.You will receive a tracking number as soon as the package is sent.Best regards,Customer service 1001modelkits""Since the message said nothing about delivery time, estimated shipment or reason for the delay (all products were marked as available and in stock ) I tried to contact again to their customer service department with email's and direct messages to their online services but until now I did not get any response or any replay .this looks like just a scam to rub you out of your money!

Takes too long on delivery:Supposed to be delivered from the States and found out that was shipped in France. Took 15 days, cost 1.5 € but i was charged $4.Besides that, I'm happy with the product.

parcel arrived in perfect condition:my order arrived in perfect condition , I had ordered Decals and they were sent in a bubble wrap pachage. well done, no dints at all.

Problem with packaging:You must to pay attencion to prepare shipment.My decals wasn't respectively protected. Shipment arrived to me damged.If you send delicate merchandise, please take it in safe packaging (for example cardboard)

Levering van een volledig defect product - bestelnr. 32735:Inhoud van een e-mail die ik op 29 januari 2014 naar kontakt@1001modellbau heb gestuurd, maar die nog niet is beantwoord:Geachte heer of mevrouw,Ongeveer een uur geleden werd de Italeri C47 Skytrain 1:72 modelbouwdoos die ik bij u had besteld door DHL geleverd, helaas in een erbarmelijke staat. Er moet een vrachtwagen overheen zijn gereden (zie bijgevoegde foto's!) Je kunt geen model meer bouwen van deze kit! aangezien ik vooraf heb betaald via paypal inclusief de transportkosten, verwacht ik een levering in goede staat. wat nu? ik verwacht direct een antwoordmail van u. met (nog) vriendelijke groetWalter Schmölling Ik hoop hier nu een reactie te ontvangen!

Alles is in orde: vliegtuigmodel, verpakking en pakje ruiken erg sterk naar nicotine, wat erg smerig is.Verder is alles geweldig.

NOTHING BUT LIARS AND THIEVES:Placed my order for two items that were stated as in stock with a delivery in 10 days from their US store. After I finished with the PayPal payment I was sent a conformation email that stated the items were overseas and to expect 15 business days for delivery. The items would be sent to their US location and then mailed out from there. They stated that the process to arrive at their facility would take 7-9 days. Already being frustrated with being lied to I emailed the company on day 10 to find out the status of the order. Their response was ""It appears that two of the products you have ordered is unavailable and unfortunately we do not know when it will be again. Following your request, we will refund USD 48,49 on your credit card or Paypal account.""At no point did I ask for a refund nor was there ever a refund! I ended up having to open a Paypal dispute that was escalated to a claim which I was awarded the money. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS ONLINE RETAILER-THEY ARE NOTHING BUT LIARS AND THIEVES!
